Here's to Curious New Beginnings

There's a song from the late 90s by the band Semisonic called "Closing Time" and one of my favorite lines from that song is:

"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end"

This blog is a new beginning in many ways. I've always enjoyed writing and being neurodiverse there's never a shortage of things my brain wants to discuss and dissect.

A blessing that comes with getting older is that with the help of others, I've been able to uncover and evolve some of my talents which I hope will benefit many. I've also realized that the more I learn, the more obvious it is how much I don't know.

I think one of the biggest gifts I was given is curiosity. I didn't come from a curious family, it was almost the exact opposite. I had a "rebellious" spirit early on and never accepted "I don't know" or "Because I said so" as answers for anything. I needed to know how everything worked. I guess that is what eventually led me into the technology field, but my curiosity expanded far beyond that realm.

One of the goals for this site is that as it evolves we learn and grow from each other. I hope the stories and articles published here will provoke thought and discussion while inspiring positive change.

I'm embarking on a writing career as well in my spare time (insert laugh here) and I will also be sharing updates with the subscribers of this site to see how my ideas are landing and where I should take these stories. I plan to write short fiction stories and at least one novel in the Steampunk genre.
